 Our school is situated in a small village 40 kilometres away from Lisbon, the capital city. Azambuja is a rural/ industrial area. Because of this aspect there are many immigrants living here, the majority from Eastern Europe origin (Romania, Ukraine, Russia). There are some historical places as Azambuja was colonized by the Romans and an old palace. It is located near River Tejo, and therefore the soil is extremely fertile, hence the importance of agriculture. Our pupils' parents level of education is usually low and there are not many prospects of cultural exchanges. Our pupils' age range is 12 to 18, even though we also have older pupils. We provide regular courses but also technical ones. Our school is well equipped in terms of the new technologies, we have Datashows in all classrooms as well as computers and internet access. There are also three smatboards available. Our resource center and library are also quite complete. There is a cafeteria and a canteen, where students can eat snacks or complete meals at affordable prices.
